Tips for Irregular Plural – Simple Present Third Person Singular

Hello, everyone. First of all, have a great weekend!

I used to teach at a private regular school and every year we had several training sessions.

In one of those, the trainer, a very competent guy from Curitiba, Luigi, taught us how to have students memorize the “-es” ending of irregular plural (churches, volcanoes, etc.) and third person singular “-es” (he goes, she touches, etc.)

Write on the board:    O – S – SH – CH – X –> ES

Tell them, “O Seu SHampoo CHeiroso da Xuxa: EStragou!”
