Merry Christmas! Happy New Year!

Hi, there!

My boss is traveling on business and I think he’ll be back on Monday.

Stop being so bossy!
Pára de ser tão mandão!

A expressão to be one’s own boss:

I’d like to be my own boss.
Gostaria de ser meu próprio chefe / autônomo.

O phrasal verb to boss around:

He’s used to bossing his little brother around.

My compliments to the chef. The meal was delicious.
Meus elogios ao chefe. A refeição estava deliciosa.

This is it for today, see you next time!

Hi, there!

Em inglês temos uma expressão correspondente: If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

Alguns exemplos:

We’re happy with our exam system in Scotland, and as they say, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

He hasn’t made a lot of changes to the team since taking over as head coach, figuring if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

See you tomorrow!
